In early December we asked residents of selected streets in Farnham to donate suitable items of food for subsequent distribution, as Food Parcels, to needy families and individuals in the community.
Such was the generosity of these residents that we were able to assemble 220 well filled parcels for distribution, through the good offices of CAB, WRVS, Health Visitors, Social Workers and other organisations "in the know", to those who, otherwise, would have had a rather bleak Christmas.
On Tuesday 1st December 2009 we took 400 local Primary School Children, along with teachers and helpers, to a pantomime at Farnham Maltings. Health and Safety regulations were, of course, strictly adhered to, but no-one thought about protecting our poor old ears from the 100 - plus decibel onslaught that we endured!

Held on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September 2009 this was an experimental joint venture between Farnham Lions and Alex Neil, proprietor of the Blue Bell at Dockenfield (above).
We are happy to report that the experiment was a great success, over £1,000 being raised for the Lions Charitable Funds, and we all want to do it again next year!
