EVENT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What is the dress code?

We want all our guests to have a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The official dress code is therefore Smart Casual, but there is a theme for the event which is based around the America's in the last century.  We know many of our guests will want to come in 1920's style and that some will adopt the 'Al Capone' theme perhaps, and many will wish to dress in black tie. All we would suggest is that:

a.  You are comfortable, bearing in mind the event will be held on tightly mown grass under two large big tops. Ladies please watch out for those high heels.

b. If you are part of a group - why not all follow the same theme - whether it be smart casual, black tie, gangsters and dolls, Fred and Ginger or whatever you feel will fit the theme.

Are there facilities for the disabled?

There is one flat access toilet in the motor museum that is for the exclusive use of the disabled. There will be disabled parking close to the event facilities but guests are reminded that the event is an outdoor event so inevitably access is not perfect but we will use our best eneavour to ensure all of our guests have a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

When will the nuseum be open to view?

The motor museum will open at 5pm on guests arrival, and will remain open until dinner is served for guests to wander around at their leisure.

Will you take credit cards at the bar?

We have tested a credit card machine at the venue and it works acceptably, but it would be much appreciated if most drinks are purchased using cash. The Auction, Silent Auction and raffle will all be based on cash, or cheques will be very acceptable  for the larger auction lots. Payment on the night would be much appreciated.

I have special dietary requirements, what can you offer?

Our catering team are happy to assist. All we ask is that any special dietary requirements are made known to us when tickets are booked.

Do you know of Taxi firms in the area if we would rather have a taxi home, and what can I do with my car overnight?

There are five taxi firms that have confirmed they are happy to drop off and collect guests from the venue:

Home James   01252 722296      2 x 8 seaters and several 6 seaters

Orange Taxis   01252 364666      6 x 6 seaters

Saphire Taxis   01252 717100     6 seaters and 1 x 8 seater

Apple Taxis     01252 724040

Anytime Cabs 01252 712843

The owners have confirmed that they are agreeable to have cars left overnight but they are left entirely at your own risk. They must be collected on Sunday before midday and the registration number and a contact number must be left with the car park helpers.

If you have other questions, please do contact us through the button at the top of this page and we will endeavour to answer any query you have and help make this a truly memorable event for every one of our guests.
