FarnhamFest 2024 Q&A

Saturday 7th September 2024

Gostrey Meadows, Farnham

14.00 - 21.00

Can anyone attend the event?

The event is a ticketed event - all tickets can be purchased from our site.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The event is open to all ages. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a ticket holder and can enter free of charge. Only ticket holders over the age of 18 will be able to purchase drinks from the bars. We will be operating a challenge 25 policy so please for anyone who is, or should we say, is lucky enough to look under 25, please bring your ID with you just in case to show you are over 18.

Can I bring a bag into the event?

YES. Everyone will be screened on entry by our security team, as will all bags -  for the protection of everyone.

Will there be any seating?

The tickets are standing tickets. You are welcome to bring a small chair with you, although we ask you not to bring tables or other furniture.

Do I have to print my ticket?

No. Tickets can be printed if you wish or the ticket email on your phone is fine, but please remember one ticket can be for up to ten people and children as the ticket specifies. If all are not arriving together each group should bring a copy of the ticket - that will be checked at the entrance and logged against the number of people entering the event. This year we will be using a QR code system for scanning tickets. There will be one QR code per adult, but not for under 18s.

I have purchased tickets and have not received anything; what should I do?

Our system generates tickets and sends them within a couple of minutes of your booking. If you do not receive this email you should email events@farnhamlions.org.uk with the name and email details of the ticket purchaser and we will resend them to you. Please check this as soon as possible to ensure we have time to get your tickets to you well before the day.

What is included in the ticket price?

Your ticket entitles entry to the event, and we hope a great time listening to the live entertainment provided on stage by our live covers bands. No drink or food is included in the ticket price.

Can I bring in alcohol?

NO. We have a wide selection of independent brands at our festival - so please don't bring any alcohol. Please keep your drinks safe at home away from our entrance amnesty bin.

Can I bring food?

NO. Again we have a wide selection of incredible independent food vendors - all tastes are covered including Vegan. External food will have to keep external alcohol company in the amnesty bin.

Can I bring my dog?

YES. You may bring one dog per adult but they must be kept on a lead and under tight control so as not to interfere with other guests or stall holders. Bearing in mind there will be numberous food stalls please bear in mind this requirement. Please also ensure any dog fouling is cleared up by the owner immediately.

Access to the bars.

On entry every individual will be issued with a wristband which must be worn in order to purchase drinks at the bars. Under 18's at the lunchtime session will have a different colour wristband and will be able to purchase soft drinks only.

Drink Glasses. All drinks will be served in plastic recyclable glasses and no glass will be allowed on the meadow for your health and safety. Recycling bins will be available as well as general purpose waste bins and we ask all plastic glasses be put in the recycling bins. We thank you for your attention to this.

Can I pay by Card, or do I need cash?

All the food and drink vendors are independent but we believe most will take cards - or cash. We would suggest having some cash in case any vendor has a contactless system fail during the event or is unable to accept cards.

Session Timings.

There is only one session from 2pm until 9pm and last orders will be called at 8.45pm; the field will need to be cleared by 9.15pm.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

YES. Do please however be aware that this is an outside event taking place on the meadow so the ground may be bumpy or sloped in areas and, if wet, hard for wheelchairs to negotiate. If the weather is not kind we suggest you keep to the tarmacadam pathways.

There is a disabled toilet facility in the main Gostrey Meadow permanent toilet block.

Where can I park if coming by car?

There are three large car parks around Gostrey Meadow, the central car park, the waggon yard car park and the Maltings car park. The council car park info can be found at: https://www.waverley.gov.uk/Services/Parking/Car-parks/Farnham-car-parks - you will see the Waggon Yard is cheaper than the central car park. PLEASE NOTE PEDESTRIAN ACCESS IS VIA THE WAR MEMORIAL ENTRANCE ON SOUTH STREET, with one additional entrance for disabled customers only at the triangle junction at Union Road.

Or, you could also use the Farnham Station car park and its a simple walk down to the Meadow from the station.
