Sausage and Cider Header

Saturday 4th September 2021 – 12.00-4.00pm and 5.00-9.00pm

We are proud to announce Farnham’s First Annual Cider and Sausage Festival - a new open air event that will be held in Gostrey Meadow, close to Farnham railway station, and the Central and Waggon Yard car parks.

To enable the maximum number of people to come to the ticketed event safely we plan two sessions, from 12:00 to 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm.  The 12.00-4.00pm session will be a family session where all are welcome into the Meadow. Each child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult holding a valid session ticket (Maximum of two children acompanying each adult). The evening session will be for adults only aged 18 and over and all ticket holders may be asked to provide photo ID by our security team at the gate.

So what's happening?

Firstly we have booked a live covers band to play at both sessions from the bandstand, giving us a real party vibe. The Fabulous Funky Funks,  The Funks are a band made up of session musicians who have all played world wide. They joined forces in 2010 and have been playing together ever since. The Funks have the funkiest, magical back line: The "ginger ninja" on drums "Mr Smooth" on bass the "Italian Stallion" on keys and "Mr B" on guitar. On the front line we have Liam who brings beautiful harmony to the group and Jody who is small but powerful with her vocals! This 6 piece Funky Disco Band will bring some serious sounds to our event, playing all your Funky favourites to make you dance the day away.

Whilst listening, enjoying and perhaps even dancing to the music, you will be able to sample and enjoy numerous types of cider provided by local producers including Tutts Clump Cider and Jars Cider from West Berkshire and a full bar provided by Wrights Lions Brewery with many local ciders, real ales, prosecco, wines and more all offered alongside various food stalls* offering a range of German, English, Italian and speciality sausages specially crafted for the event by Morgans Butchers on The Ridgway, Farnham.  We also plan to have alternative suppliers including teas and barista coffee, and a small range of other foods. *Please note that we have booked food vendors focussed on the provision of sausages to be eaten on sticks or in a roll, although a Thai satay stall will also be joining the party to ensure we also have vegetarian offerings!

The marquees and gazebos will be distanced and spaced around the perimeter of the meadow to allow everyone to enjoy easy access to them, whilst seeing and hearing the entertainment from the bandstand where the band will play throughout the event. We are happy to allow you to bring a small folding chair into the meadow if you wish to sit for your comfort during the day, but please do not bring any tables, food or drink which will not be allowed.
